AArrh… nothing like a city where it ALWAYS rains.
Had actually planned to go to computer city to take a look for small gadgets, but might not make it now… and the rain is so heavy that the tv signal is also gone

Oh and they have finally decided to finish the “Dead” building for those who don’t know it, it is a sky scraper that has been abandoned for 10 years half finished and honestly looked like it was going to fall apart some day… but now they are building like crazy on it again.

I now have my mobile server running on it’s first “full” charge… 22.0V that is… i did not dare to charge with higher voltage this time.
I charged with a lab PSU set to deliver 22.0V and 3Amps and the charge curve was pretty nice, fairly fast voltage increase in the beginning and then slowly at the end until the amps drawn dropped fairly fast to 0A when the battery reached 22V
I now received the PSU that i will use in the future… but since I am running a battery life test these days I can not connect it into the circuit yet… the system has until now been running for:
13:25:41 up 2 days, 3:55, load average: 0.08, 0.08, 0.05
So about 52 hours with following equipment connected:
2 x TP-Link 703n (400Mhz AP’s)
1 x 10 port usb hub
1 x 250GB HD (4 year old so not so efficient)
1 x 3G HSDPA modem
1 x 16GB usb flash drive
Power:
6 x 3.2V 20Ah LiFe4Po cells
1 x Protection board/balancer/charger
1 x 12-24v -> 5V 5A car converter
1 x 240V -> 20-28V 3A variable PSU

Oh no poor Daniel just lost his iPhone. We think someone stole it

Here is a few pictures of my mobile server under construction.
This is 6 x 3.2V 20Ah LiPo cells.
They should be able to run the mobile server for about one week, but let’s see how long it can actually keep it running.
Hopefully I get the last needed components for it in a few days.

Hmmm… You should think it is possible to find a better name than that:

Oh my god.
Just talked to a friend of a college…. They saw Mark Zuckerberg at the Kempinski hotel for breakfast negotiating with some chinese people….
Maybe it is time for the firewall to open up for FB!!!!
Oh… and a serious increase in market value
Well… expected… but fun to hear first hand rumors.
Error 404 is “often” because the page does not exist… REALLY? I thought 404 was exactly that.

Maybe my home is a good place to test radio networks resilience against interference:

I was just checking the visa rules for china again, they changed a bit… their Force Majeure section became more interesting… it contains references to God….

My 3G HSDPA stick seems to perform pretty well in my little TP-Link WR703N unit.
It is running OpenWrt and seems to be able to handle the full speed of the 3G network (21Mbps)
This is actually the fastest connection i have ever seen in China.
